Do you accept all dogs at your dog daycare ?

If your dog is suitable for Scoobie Dogs we take all breeds and sizes except unneutered males and dogs listed under breed specific legislation (e.g. Pit Bull Terrier, XL Bully, Japanese Tosa etc.).

What time is collection in the morning ?

What time will you drop my dog back ?

Our free afternoon drop-off is between 15:30 and 16:30.

I need extended hours, can I collect my dog from you instead ?

Unfortunately we do not offer extended hours.  However, in an emergency you can contact me directly as we would not want a dog to be left alone at for longer than four hours.

Do you accept puppies ?

Yes, but our park walks and field time are not suitable for young puppies.

we can offer reduced hours for puppies if needed.

Do I pay in advance, am I tied into a contract ?

No, payment is due on the last day of the month.  We do have a cancellation policy for regular weekly spaces.

Cancellation Policy (Monday to Friday):

  • 48+ hours' notice: NO CHARGE

  • Less than 48 hours' notice : 50% CHARGE

  • Same-day cancellation : 100% CHARGE

Examples:

  • If your dog is booked in on a Monday, cancellation must be made by Thursday the previous week to avoid a charge

  • A cancellation on the Friday before would fall within 48 hours and incur a 50% charge

Do I need to book a regular day or can I book on an ad-hoc basis ?

I require clients to book at least one regular day a week.  I will do my best to accommodate additional days or ad-hoc days, but this is not always possible.  This helps us maintain stable, calm groups within our dog daycare.

Can my dog attend in all weathers ?

Yes! We have procedures in place for all weather conditions.

Our park walks include plenty of water on hot days and dry towels / robes for the wet days.

The field has shaded areas and a heated and insulated cabin for rest when needed.

Can you take my dog for Park Walks if they have bad recall ?

Possibly, depending on the size of the dog and its walking skills. We prefer dogs to have good recall off-lead, and we are happy to reinforce any recall training you provide.

What happens if my dog is sick or injured at doggy daycare ?

All staff are first-aid trained. For urgent situations, we will take your dog to your vet or our registered vet, Wingrave Veterinary Surgery, 84 Mulgrave Road, Sutton, SM2.

Are you first aid trained ?

Yes — both myself and staff are trained in first aid.

Are you licensed and insured to walk the dogs and have them on your 2 acre field ?

Yes. Scoobie Dogs holds a 5-star higher Animal Welfare licence awarded by Sutton Council (LN 25/00156/ANBOR). We are also fully insured to transport and care for dogs, walk them in local parks and on our secure field.
